IP MANAGEMENT TIPS

While registering a trademark gives you access to industrial property rights, note that these rights have certain limitations.

For example, the registration of your trademark gives you the right to prohibit third parties from using the same trademark for identical or similar goods and services designated by you at the time of filing.

On the other hand, you do not have the right to prevent the manufacture or commercialisation of similar or identical goods to yours, under a different trademark.

It is thus always advisable to ensure that your claim is completely well founded before taking any legal action against a third party.

If in doubt, seek advice from an IP attorney at contact@cabinet-tf.com
