If you are considering entering into a new market, you must proceed with a FTO (Freedom to operate).
 
An FTO is carried out to ensure that you have the freedom to exploit a particular IP asset without infringing on the rights of someone else. But notice that, despite the similarities between FTO and Infringement search, the latter remains fundamentally different from FTO based on the objective of the application. Therefore, an infringement search is conducted in order to find out if your IP rights are used by third party without your consent. Both actions are to be conducted in your areas or regions of interest.
